Hello! My name is Nikke Stevenson. I'm a literacy expert living in Los Angeles. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and shortly thereafter, began my life's most important work - helping children learn to read and comprehend.
I’m currently the Reading Specialist at Canyon Charter Elementary School in Santa Monica, CA. I was a former Project Director and Professional Development Presenter during my 23 years working for the internationally recognized and research-validated Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes®. I am highly qualified and effective in utilizing the following programs with struggling readers:

I have a deep understanding of the science of reading and the principles and practices of reading, writing, spelling, math, and comprehension. I have successfully trained and coached hundreds of teachers, school administrators, and parents. I have worked with all ages and levels, from emerging readers as young as 3 to adults, including English Language Learners and individuals diagnosed with:

Flexible Scheduling - In Person or on Zoom
Instruction time is often a variable that makes or breaks a student's success. I know that students and families have busy schedules, which is why I offer flexible tutoring sessions. My goal is to get students to a level of independence as soon as possible. Once a week or more in the privacy of your own home or online; after school, or on weekends, I am here to help.
